Look What I Got!

I took my students down to see my new piano.  I played Whitewater Chopsticks for them...which is my go to performance piece.  By the time I was done my entire class was breathing down my neck.  They had all scooted forward until they were touching the piano and the keys. They had to be a part of the music!
One little boy, who is is very introverted and usually frowns the entire day, was all lit up! He couldn't stop telling me about how he knows how to play the piano and how when summer school is done I should come over to his Grandma's house to hear him.
See?
Music is truly universal.

  3. WOW! What a great beginning with the piano. That piece has always brought people to their feet. You probably won't want to have the lounge singer look for class.
