from summer she is made...my lovely summer girl

Summer days are finally upon us.  We sleep in a little later and go to bed a little later. The days are uneventful and calm, which is how I like it best...each day blurring into the next. But that's how summer is supposed to be isn't it?  You never really get dressed or do your hair and everything starts to smell of sunscreen.
When Everdeen naps I pick up where I left off with the packing and cleaning and the getting organized.  We don't move for another month, but I'm anxious to get everything done.  And if I have a few extra minutes I spend it on Pinterest, day dreaming of our new home and how we will decorate it.  Ahhh...we will finally have a place all our own.  We are so excited!
For now, we are quietly enjoying our summer days together as a family.  We were remembering this time last year as we watched our almost one year old explore under the great pine tree yesterday afternoon.
This time last year my belly couldn't possibly have gotten any bigger under my swollen feet and we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our daughter. Somedays I still can't believe she is here and is ours...our summer baby, our lovely summer girl. I've always loved summer, but now it has so much more meaning to me.  It is a season of new life for us and it seems to be continuing this summer with our fresh start moving home.

Summer you are so good to us :)
